Nonprofit organizations need protection from risks and accidents, both expected and unexpected. It’s important to be able to focus on your mission, knowing that you have the right insurance policies in place. This seminar will present legal and practical issues confronting nonprofits when they seek insurance coverage and assert claims under their insurance policies. The panelists’ practices include advising and representing nonprofits and other policyholders on a variety of insurance claims. They will discuss how to assess what risks insurance will cover, and will review basic differences among various types of insurance policies. They also will cover common pitfalls in choosing insurance policies that are appropriate for community-based organizations.

Speakers will include Scott Konrad of Hub International, and Teresa Lewi and Russell Squire of Covington & Burling LLP.
