Meeting will be in the “Committee of the Whole” room, on the 13th floor.
Join us Tuesday, November 20 for the final City Council public hearing for the Homeowners’ Property Tax Assistance Program (HPTAP) ordinance. This ordinance is intended to remove the substantial barriers facing families eligible for this crucial property tax exemption. If pass, it will expand upon the chances established by the City’s settlement with the ACLU, thereby keeping countless families in their homes and preventing improper foreclosures.
Let’s show up for each other at this meeting at let the Detroit City Council know that Detroit’s low-income and working-class residents want stable communities and stable homes.
