AMBER UMSCHEID, LMSW

    DIRECTOR OF ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT & ANALYSIS

    Amber Umscheid (she/her) joined Michigan Community Resources as an intern in 2016 and has since been promoted to Director of Organizational Impact & Analysis. Amber works to develop data tracking systems and ongoing evaluations of all programs, ensuring that MCR is meeting the needs of the community and is in alignment with our values and mission. She works to seek out areas for improvement both internally and externally while streamlining processes for efficiency. She utilizes all of these pieces to maximize MCR’s impact and create transparency in our work.  

    Prior to MCR, Amber was a Michigan Voice Urban Policy Institute Fellow, where she learned how to inform and empower community groups to create change through their local and state governments. Amber has been involved with several nonprofit groups in Wayne and Oakland Counties with focuses on youth and mental health. Her passions are in advocacy, social justice, and arts and crafts.

    Amber holds a Master of Social Work in Leadership and Policy from Wayne State University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Western Michigan University. She obtained her license in social work in November 2020.
