ALEXIS BRUCE
PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR SYSTEMS TRANSFORMATION
Alexis Bruce (she/her) is a Program Administrator at Michigan Community Resources, managing collaborative projects and working to enhance the capacity of nonprofits by connecting them with professional consultants. Driven by a passion for community advocacy and a belief in the power of collaboration, Alexis is committed to advancing MCR's efforts to build more equitable and resilient nonprofit support systems across the ecosystem.
Alexis grew up in Detroit's Boston Edison neighborhood, and earned a bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Studies with a concentration in Community Development, History, and Culture from the University of Michigan-Dearborn. She began her career as a Client Care Coordinator with AmeriCorps at Rebuilding Together Southeast Michigan, where she organized volunteer initiatives and community events to provide critical home repairs for vulnerable residents. She has also served as a Service-Learning Coordinator with a local Charter School District, designing and leading initiatives that helped over 1300 students develop problem-solving and advocacy skills through community-focused projects.
Outside of work, she is a dedicated boy mom who enjoys outdoor adventures and instilling a love of exploration and community engagement in her son.
